The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday presented Certificates of Return to the winners of the August 16 by-elections across the country.
National Commissioners of INEC assigned to the respective constituencies handed the certificates to the newly elected senators and members of the House of Representatives at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking after receiving his certificate, Senator-elect for Anambra South, Emmanuel Nwachukwu, pledged to provide genuine and impactful representation, with particular focus on the needs of business owners and persons with disabilities in the constituency.
He said: “We will work across party lines to tackle pressing issues such as erosion, healthcare, and education. My goal is to ensure that the people of Anambra South feel truly represented.”
