The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has announced plans to hold a Special National Convention for the ratification of the nomination of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, as the party’s presidential candidate.
According to a notice issued by the party, the convention is scheduled to take place, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the A-Class Event Centre, Kassim Ibrahim Way, Wuse 2, Abuja.
The event is expected to commence at 10:00 a.m. and will bring together party leaders, delegates and stakeholders from across the country to formally endorse Jonathan’s nomination ahead of the next presidential election.
The notice was jointly signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Comrade Ini Ememobong, and the National Organising Secretary, Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan.
Political commentators and observers say the convention is expected to be a significant milestone for the PDP as it prepares its strategy for the forthcoming electoral cycle.
